SUSIE Wiles is the newly-appointed White House chief of staff for President-elect Donald Trump.
She was his first appointment following the landslide victory for the MAGA movement founder, whose inauguration is on January 20, 2025. Here we get to know her daughters Katie and Caroline Wiles.
Announcing her position as the White House chief of staff, Donald Trump said: “Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns.”
Both of Susie Wiles’ daughters have pursued careers in politics and public service, which just goes to show the family’s deep involvement in Republican politics.
Who is Katie Wiles?
Katie Wiles has followed in her mother’s footsteps into the worlds of politics and communications.
Following Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election, Katie was promoted to director of Continental Strategy’s lobbying and consulting offices in Jacksonville and Washington D.C.
This came just a day after the announcement of her mother’s appointment as White House chief of staff on November 8, 2024.
Continental Strategy President Carlos Trujillo said: “We know she will shine in this new role and will provide new avenues for growth as we continue to build from the momentum of a landslide victory for President Donald Trump on Election Day.”
Katie’s career path mirrors her mother’s in some ways, as she worked at Jacksonville City Hall during Mayor Lenny Curry’s administration from October 2021 through June 2023 as chief of communications.
Her mother worked at the same city hall during the administrations of mayors John Delaney and John Peyton.
Who is Caroline Wiles?
Susie’s other daughter Caroline Wiles has also been involved in politics.
During Trump’s first term as president, she was hired as deputy assistant to the president and director of scheduling.
However, she was one of several White House staffers who resigned from their positions after failing an FBI background check in 2017.
The check is required for the highest level of security clearance necessary to work in the White House.
After her resignation, Caroline released a statement saying: “It has been my honour to serve President Trump in the campaign and the transition.
“I resigned my position and look forward to serving the Administration in a new capacity.”
