PRESIDENT Joe Biden tried to ward off concerns about his age with a fiery State of the Union address but disgraced George Santos and other lawmakers stole part of the spotlight.
Santos was expelled from Congress in December as he faces a slew of criminal charges, including defrauding donors and lying to lawmakers.
He returned to the Capitol for Biden’s SOTU, sporting a wild crystal outfit, and dropped a bombshell on social media.
After branding Biden a “weak” president delivering “spin and lies,” Santos announced he’s running for Congress again.
Another notable moment came when a protester started yelling, forcing Biden to pause his speech. It was later revealed to be Steve Nikoui, the father of Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui – a Marine who was killed at the 2021 suicide bombing at Kabul Airport’s Abbey Gate.
Biden was also taunted by Rep Troy Nehls, who sported a T-shirt with Donald Trump’s mugshot that said “never surrender,” and Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene who yelled at him, urging him to say murder victim Laken Riley’s name.
