FORMER President Donald Trump has debuted a new fashion line of golden shoes, just a day after he was ordered to pay $354.9 million in penalties in his New York civil fraud case.
Trump unveiled the shiny high-top sneakers at the Sneaker Con event in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Dubbed the “Never Surrender High-Tops”, the shoes are available in limited edition quantities for $399 and have already sold out online, according to the new e-shop set up to sell the fashion pieces.
The sneakers are mostly gold with red and blue coloring towards the top and a white rubber outer sole.
“For The First Time Ever, Buy And Collect These Limited Sneakers By
President Donald J. Trump. With Millions Of Fans, Get These Before They Sell Out!” the description says.
“This is something I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it’s going to be a big success,” Trump said during the unveiling, according to CNN.
Although the website prominently features Trump’s name and image, the fine print at the bottom claims that the site is not officially connected to the former president.
“Trump Sneakers are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates,” the disclaimer says.
The shoes were premiered the day after Trump was slammed with a nearly $355 million penalty by a judge who found that he had bloated his wealth to defraud clients, partners, and the state of New York.
And just two days after another judge decided to move forward with Trump’s hush money case, finally setting a trial date of March 25.
Yet the former president claimed that the sneaker sale — and the presumed profits it would generate — were not related to politics.
“GetTrumpSneakers.com is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign,” another website disclaimer says.
The website said that there were originally 1,000 pairs of sneakers available, each numbered uniquely.
Fans may be interested to know that at least ten of the pairs of sneakers will be autographed by the former president too, per its online ad.
Some supporters of President Joe Biden criticized Trump’s announcement.
“Donald Trump showing up to hawk bootleg Off-Whites is the closest he’ll get to any Air Force Ones ever again for the rest of his life,” Biden campaign spokesperson Michael Tyler said, referring to the popular Nike Off-White shoes.
