HE was once linked with BUYING the club back in 2012.
But 12 years later Rangers fans turned to Donald Trump to try to inspire their side against Spurs on Thursday night.

The US President elect has links to Scotland– owning the Trump Turnberry resort previously used as a pre-match base by Scottish teams – including Gers.
He also has his controversial golf course in the north of Scotland and proudly declares his Caledonian heritage via his mum– born in Lewis.
And he even messaged CELTIC fans courting their votes in the run-up to his election victory last month.
He’ll return to the White House in late January.
But before then Rangers fans utilised his campaign slogan in their own ‘Red White and BlueHouse‘.
Fans displayed a massive tifo including coloured flags as the teams made their way out of the tunnel for the Battle of Britain.
And spread the length of the Copland Stand was a banner that read ‘MAKE RANGERS GREAT AGAIN’.
It’s a clear and obvious re-work of Trump’s MAGA slogan – Make America Great Again.
The colours matched the American flag and the club colours too.
The businessman and one-time US Apprentice host flirted with the notion of owning the Ibrox side until he discovered the extent of their financial issues.

He told the Press and Journal at the time: “We looked seriously and walked away.
“It just did not make sense to us, although they are a great club. We hope someone steps in and builds the team again.”
Trump has never owned a football team, – but he has had his own American football team.
He owned the New Jersey Generals in the short-lived USFL and attempted to buy the Baltimore Colts in the NFL before they moved to Indianapolis.
The ‘Battle of Britain‘ between Spurs and Rangers also saw the return of Ange Postecoglou to Glasgow.
The former Celtic boss is under pressure after his Spurs side’s slump in the Premier League– including the weekend 4-3 defeat to Chelsea.
Postecoglou predicted a heated welcome to the home of his old rivals and said: “I’d love it to be positive but we all know that’s not going to happen.”
